Abia: Court affirms Uchechukwu Ogah as APC governorship candidate

Miracle Nwosu, Umuahia

For the umpteenth time, Ikechi Emenike has failed in his seeming desperation to substitute Dr Uchechukwu Ogah as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate for Abia State. Dr Ogah had won the governorship primaries of the party as the most popular and widely acceptable candidate. But Emenike in alleged collusion with Ikpeazu and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have struggled to truncate the wishes of Abia people. Recently, Emenike with the assistance of alleged PDP collaborators procured a judgment from an FCT High Court affirming him as the validly elected governorship candidate of APC in the State. But the Party appealled the judgment and reaffirmed that Dr Uche Ogah remains the validly nominated Governorship Candidate for the 2019 election. Emenike further in an attempt to undo Ogah visited the INEC headquarters but his efforts were not successful as he was reportedly told to wait until the appeal filed by the Party was determined and that Dr Uche Ogah remains the authentic governorship candidate of the Party in Abia State. "We appeal to Abians who are determined to liberate the State to stay focused and never get perturbed by minor distractions from flight by night agents of darkness," Ogah Campaign Organisation: 'Abia Rejoice 2019' said in a statement made available to the media in Umuahia, the State Capital.
